Seventy percent of instruction occurs in the training kitchens with hands-on direction from senior chef professors. Apprentices learn the skills needed for career success and advancement.

  • The apprentice must be currently:

    • Employed in a trade;​

    • sponsored by an employer;

    • registered as an apprentice with the MTCU

Culinary Management
You’ll learn entry-level aspects of food production, basic nutrition, kitchen management, and fundamental food and labour controls. Those who successfully complete this one-year program are eligible to return to the second year of Culinary Management program.

  • Grade 11 Math at the C, U or M level
