You’ll learn to use a variety of evidence-based approaches to develop the skills to support those with Autism Spectrum Disorder by reviewing relevant literature, developing intervention plans, implementing behaviour change programs, facilitating group programming, and more. Mental Wellness and Addictions Worker
Acquire specialized training in addictions and mental health the skills and tools required by frontline professionals to deliver responsive and effective practice in the healthcare and social services field. You will gain an understanding of the complex needs of diverse client populations; establish and extend your skillset; nurture and expand your critical-thinking and problem-solving skills; and, recognize, understand, and apply a holistic model of client-centered care. Therapeutic Recreation (Graduate Certificate)
Prepare to work within recreation, health, or social service delivery systems serving individuals of all ages and abilities. You’ll acquire the skills to complete client assessments, develop and evaluate programs, and use a variety of facilitative techniques to enhance health, improve functional ability, and increase individual’s quality of life. Curriculum is aligned with the Therapeutic Recreation Ontario (TRO) Essential Competency Framework (ECF).
