Graphic Design

Become a visual communicator and creative problem solver. Learn how to make information visually appealing and meaningful by studying core design principles and their application to emerging technologies and interactive media applications. Apply real world learning experiences by working with external clients, producing a comprehensive design portfolio, and completing a final capstone project and field placement.

Media Arts Fundamentals

Explore media, design, and the arts with courses in professional communications, digital media applications and arts electives. You’ll be prepared for and have credits toward diploma programs in Graphic Design, Visual & Creative Arts – Fine Arts, Music and Digital Media, Advertising and Marketing Communications, and General Arts and Science.

Music and Digital Media

MDM connects music to other artistic disciplines, enhancing your development as a musician and as flexible professionals in the arts through an integrated arts approach. Studies in music theory and form combine with digital media courses in video production, recording, and sound design. Study your primary instrument/voice and participate in a variety of ensembles and gain experience in composition, entrepreneurial skills, and integrated arts project work.

Music Theatre - Performance

Develop your skills as a music theatre performer by studying a combination of dance, music, and acting. You will perform in a variety of music theatre productions with industry guest artists to develop their professional skills. Courses include integration of skills, one-on-one mentoring and rehearsals for simulated professional experiences.

User Experience Design (Graduate Certificate)

As a UX designer, you’ll consult with target audiences (users) to create technology, products, and services that meet their needs, are functional and pleasurable to use, and meet the strategic objectives of businesses and organizations. UX designers come from a wide variety of backgrounds, including graphic design, interaction design, business, marketing, communication, psychology, and computer science.

Visual & Creative Arts - Fine Arts (Suspended for Fall 2020)

Showcase your artwork and polish your curatorial practices in one of four exhibition spaces on campus, including a graduate exhibition in the Marianne van Silfhout Gallery. Combine theory and studio practices in a variety of areas within visual arts such as art history, painting, drawing, mixed media, printmaking, digital photography, business of art, and more.
